Nice to meet you!
Hannes Hummel (b. 1987) is an award-winning, interdisciplinary artist and designer based in Germany, working across new media (CGI and AI), Web 3, immersive audio-visual installations, and moving images.
Hummel's background in Integrated Design has influenced his art in significant ways, blurring the lines between the organic and the digital, inviting the viewer to reconsider their relationship with the world around them. Hummel's recent digital artworks focus on the complexity of organic structures: symmetry, tessellations, and patterns within patterns, thereby reinterpreting nature through a digital lens. His award-winning "Living Still Lifes" series draws inspiration from historical art movements reimagined through the digital medium.
His works have been exhibited in galleries worldwide and have received critical acclaim for their innovative approach and attention to detail. Highlights include the Beijing Contemporary Art Expo, a commissioned artwork in the permanent collection of the Deji Art Museum, and an exhibition at Contemporary Calgary alongside works by Andy Warhol.
In addition to creating digital art, Hummel also offers workshops and lectures on digital design and VR-design concepts, sharing his knowledge and passion with students and fellow artists.
He has partnered with various brands in fashion and technology to produce exceptional experiences, including digital creations for Iris Van Herpen, Richard Quinn, The Blonds, Dalbin Tables, New York Fashion Week, London Fashion Week, and many others.
